Fruit & Nut Bites
Magnesium plays a crucial role in ADHD support:
1. Helps regulates dopamine, gaba, serotonin & norepinephrine = more focus, better mood.
2. Calms the nervous system, reducing anxiety, stress and contributes to better sleep quality.
3. Magnesium is a co-factor in ADHD supportive zinc and B6 absorption and utilisation.
Dark chocolate, nuts and seeds are great food sources alongside leafy green veg!
Ingredients (makes 12 bites - double amounts for 24!):
2 bars of Organic Green & Blacks 85% dark chocolate (180 grams)
Teaspoon of Odourless coconut oil
Handful of almonds
Handful of sunflower & pumpkin seeds
Handful of raisins & goji berries
Silicon mini muffin tray
Method:
Melt chocolate with coconut oil (this keeps the chocolate flexible). Sprinkle the bottom of each silicon mould with seeds, nuts & fruit. Add a tablespoon of melted chocolate - to about half full and finish by sprinkling a few extra goji berries & pinch of sea salt. Place in the freezer or fridge till solid, take out the moulds & keep in a decorative bowl in the fridge.
If you fancy the taste of chocolate orange add some orange zest to mix!
